V.E. Testing Sessions

The Sumner Co. Amateur Radio Association (SCARA) hosts regular VE testing sessions for ALL license classes, new or upgrade, at the Emergency Services Center (ESC) in Gallatin, TN.

 Here are the particulars:

A legal photo ID (drivers license or passport). If no photo ID is available, please provide at least two of the following forms of identification: Original birth certificate, Social Security card, any state issued identification, students may use a student ID, a parent/guardian may show his/her ID.
Current amateur radio license, if applicable.
FRN number, if applicable.
Exam Fee (Cash or check only made out to ARRL / VEC) 

**Now available is testing sessions for EC-001 Introduction to Emergency Communications formally known as EmComm Level 1.  Testing sessions are at the same date and time configuration as the VE sessions listed above at the same location just in a different room from the license testing per ARRL guidelines. The testing sessions for EC-001 are conducted by ARRL recognized FE's and an authorized FI.  The testing fee is $15.00 (cash or check made out to ARRL/CEP) and is due at time of testing There are two pre-requsites that must be met and documentation provided prior to on the day of testing; FEMA ICS-100 and ICS-700. An amateur radio license is not required to test for EC-001. Prospective students can either self-study the material provided by the ARRL or enroll in an online hybrid class to be eligible. 

PREREGISTRATION is required for the EC-001 testing session however we will consider walk-ins ONLY IF contact is made to the FE at least two (2) hours prior to testing time to be considered for entrance to the secure facility the testing is held in. Contact Troy, KI4ICC
